Happy Mother’s Day

They say a mothers love is the strongest love. I agree. I believe the amount of love my mother has for me is unfathomable. My mom always says that I won’t really know what it’s like until I have one of my own, but I’m obviously not hoping for that anytime soon.

Growing up my mom never missed one thing–every soccer game, every swim meet,  literally everything, there she was, my #1 fan; very loud and proud as can be. Cheering me on every step of the way. From team mom, to PTA volunteering, the list goes on and on. She has always done the most — and still continues to do so.

Every failure, every heart break, every move, there she was, my rock, my supporter, my lifeline. I know I speak for both my sister, Elizabeth, and I when I say that we honestly don’t know what we would do without you.

I find little pieces of you in me all the time. Whether that be that I’m constantly reminded of your strong willed soul and the power of perseverance, or your love for our family and the sacrifices you make for all of us. You are the definition of a strong and selfless woman, and I cannot be more proud and blessed to be your daughter.

You have this beautiful all encompassing love that you surround others in, you make me strive to become the best version of myself, and you believe that I can do whatever I set my mind to. You don’t doubt me when I doubt myself, and you love me at my worst.

Love transcends all time and space. Love is knowing the sound of your voice when you pick up the phone. Love is powerful. Love is beautiful. Love is to be your daughter.

They say you become your mom when you grow up, and if I get to be half the woman you are one day, that would be more than enough. Thankful for you today & always. I love you momma. Happy Mother’s Day.
